WHAT IS SPACE CAMP?

It is a week-long camp, aimed at students between the ages of 9 and 17, which takes place in Huntsville, Alabama, United States. In this week, participants experience several situations as astronauts and pilots, living the emotion and working as a team like the professionals.

Skills development

They will learn about leadership, teamwork, and more life skills.

Social development

They will create friendships that will last through time and beyond the camp.

Academic development

They will learn space history, the universe, technology, physics, engineering, and more.

Development of Values

They will develop values such as honesty, responsibility, loyalty, perseverance, and more.

SPACE CAMP PROVIDES SOLUTIONS TO:

1. Lack of motivation towards learning:

Changing places and environments conditions the brain to be more open and attentive to the new and different.

2. Difficulty socializing:

Participants interact with students from other institutions before the trip, in this way they get to know each other and learn to value the importance of establishing solid friendship relationships.

3. Lack of opportunities to improve personally:

The expeditions include activities through which the children are inspired, valued and taught to see and believe in their abilities to improve themselves in the different areas of their lives.

4. Chronic boredom:

The vast majority of students are bored while studying. Through our expeditions, fun and entertaining learning is ensured.

5. Evasion of responsibilities:

During the expedition, there will be times when they must assume leadership, knowing in advance that the responsibility of the team in the different situations that arise is shared.

6. Shyness:

Through self-empowerment, participants learn to break down barriers of personal fears. As a result, they will realize that they are capable of doing whatever they set out to do through activities in which they are forced to get out of their comfort zones.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAMS

This experience allows the participant to be inspired by the study of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. During the week the instructors guide the crew through the past, present and future of space exploration.

ABOUT PACKAGES AND COSTS

We offer the modality of monthly payments from 1 to 12 months.

✈️ Package includes:

Air ticket San José - Huntsville - San José.
Lodging 7 days and 6 nights.
Food in the camp and materials.
Costa Rica departure tax.
Medical service in the camp.
Travel insurance.
Ground transportation from Huntsville airport to camp and vice versa.
Entrance to the Space Shot, G-Force Accelerator, Simulator and IMAX Theater.
Badges for the trip.
Preparation for the trip (training of 5 sessions of 1 hour each).

Transportation to the Juan Santamaría airport (the cost of transportation is not included).
Personal expenses at airports (Any type of expense within the airport is not covered in the cost).
Personal expenses (purchases in the Space Camp store).
Suitcase tax cost charged by the airline.
Passport procedures and costs are not included.
The procedures and costs of the American visa are not included.
